10 stars if I could

Honestly...10 stars if I could. If you're doing a road trip, go out of your way to stay here. I've traveled all over the world, this was the most unique Airbnb I've ever stayed in.

My New Favorite!

Have stayed at nearly every accommodation along Rt. 66 and this is my favorite. It has much more than I expected. Karen, the owner, has made Station 66 a fun place to stay. And the price is nice!. Several restaurants and fast food nearby. Plus, other attractions in this small Texas panhandle town. Don't miss this outstanding stop in the town of Vega.

Public feedback It was the coolest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at! I LOVED IT! The decor was super cool! It was like style inspiration! Everything was above and beyond. There were lots of blankets, towels, comfy places to lounge, board games, TVs in every room, beautiful antique furniture, vintage touches, etc. I’m just looking for an excuse to go back!

This place is such an awesome hidden gem! Best place to stay to get an authentic dose of old Route 66. Vega is a sleepy quaint little town with a genuine "West Texas" vibe and friendly people. Karen's place is a way better value than staying in a tiny Amarillo hotel room for the same price. The vintage and unique deco makes this place one-of-a-kind and you can tell she goes above and beyond for her guests. Huge amount of space with thoughtful touches everywhere to make it cozy and comfortable. Very private stand alone building, with easy access just off of the highway (speed limit slows to 35 mph). The area felt very safe and secure. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc., kitchen stocked and accessible, and super comfy bed!!! Several rooms for dividing space if you have a larger group. Great price for so much space. We loved the "western wear" collection she has for you to try on, and we had so much fun taking old timey selfies in that garb! Awesome backyard and plenty of seating in the front and back of the house to wind down the day while taking in a renowned West Texas sunset! Highly recommended for anyone traveling to the area, we will definitely be staying here again!

Great stopping point!

Booked this lovely place as a stop on our way home and to visit the Palo canyon and fell in love when we arrived. An absolute diamond! I recommend anyone on the way to make sure to use this as a stopping point since it is a destination in itself. A truly special place. Thank you for having this gem.

Amazing, amazing is what describes this beautiful adorned 1950s stylish home!! It has all the amenities and more! The 1000+ square feet station/home is so well laid out... it makes a person appreciate and step back in time with a great feeling to the Texan style! The king size bed is extremely comfortable! The small town Vega is quiet, and peaceful with just what you need... the food market is located a short walking distance, the Magnolia Service station museum, Lucy’s Kitchen which has great food are all close by! A must go to when passing on Route 66! This place is one of our favourite stay for sure! You need to go out and enjoy this lovely place! Karen is a wonderful host!!

Great stay!

Station 66 is every bit as cool as it looks in the photos. Very well maintained, clean and comfy! You can’t go wrong staying here - very convenient to I-40 and still VERY quiet! We really enjoyed our stay.

A Blast from the Past!

A blast from the past with updated amenities. We loved this little(not so little) place on Route 66. So much better than staying in a hotel. All the comforts of home with a dash of nostalgia! We highly recommend this place.
